The Souljazz Orchestra
We just put up some pictures of the tour, you can check ’em out for fun. The album features the rugged vocals of Jamaican-Canadian soul singer Slim Moore, backed by members of the Souljazz Orchestra, the One Faith Gospel Singers, and souljazz orchestra uprooted of the baddest Canadian and American orchestral musicians around.
It makes for a really interesting sound overall – definitely phonky, but in a different, not-so-obvious way, y’know? Some wicked Canadian festivals comin’ up too: A crash-course in Souljazz history if you will, including some sneak previews of the new Inner Fire LPfor the very first time.
